Now there are some new cards in my stock photography album. All of the images are taken during the years 2011-2012 in our Tallinn photo studio "Dvigatel".

Picking up the lights for this photo session took a lot of time. Eventually settled on a single softbox, hanging from the ceiling. This is not the first time when I realize that just a randomly settled light source can be more effective than a bunch of them installed "with thinking".

The seminar took place in the end of March, in the "Dvigatel" photostudio.

The photo is pretty old: it is taken, if I'm not mistaken, even before the new year. But the final outcome came just recently. You can see a part of the Toomkirik on the background.

We had a five-day workshop at our studio, explaining how to make studio shoots. Even during the planning stadium we've decided to make the minimum emphasis on theory and the maximum on practice. Furthermore, it was decided no to think about basic things and instantly go to the complicated light schemes.

As I've already many times said, I don't think about digital images as a final product. Any digital photo which is in my computer is considered to be as a raw material, no matter how complex was it's post manipulation. Therefore I seldom return to the final material and either finish it or remake it.

This particular image wasn't a exception. If someone is interested, the work was done in several steps.

Only a few (besides those who were involved in the process) knew that at the beginning or in the end of each photo session of the Miss Garage project I've also made some shots with Aljona. Lena Rudi, who was once the cameraman of one of the episodes thought that Aljona was one of the contestants. This particular image was made during the work on the third episode of the reality show, which was about military.
